Investment Strategy
Our objective is to work with the most promising entrepreneurs whose ideas improve the ability of telecom carriers to deliver services. We share with them our experience and strong industry network, helping shape the business vision and operational implementation. Our areas of focus in both wireless and wireline categories include:

Materials/Components Boards and subassemblies used in networks

Telecom Hardware Electronic equipment for networks and fixed or mobile terminals.

Telecom Software Communications software used in communications networks

Enterprise Software Development tools, communications software and applications for distributed architectures

Online Content/Services/ASPs Internet products and services

Development Stage
Innovacom is an early stage investor, usually starting to work with a start-up during the first round of financing. Once we have selected a company, we work with the leadership team throughout its development—from product testing and deployment, through initial public offering or trade sale.

Investment Size
We invest an average of 6 M€ per company over several rounds.

Geographic Strategy
Innovacom works primarily in North America and Europe, providing a strong trans-Atlantic network that offers benefits to companies in both regions. In Europe, we are positioned as lead investors. In North America, we typically work in a co-lead or co-investor role.

We strive to share all of our experience in and knowledge of the international telecommunications sector with each company in our portfolio, so we typically serve on the boards of directors of our portfolio companies.

A Clear Focus on Business Development
Our Business Development group helps portfolio companies market their products and services to telecom operators via our contacts in the sector. France Telecom may become a customer or partner of the portfolio companies, as may its subsidiaries and affiliates in Great Britain, Italy, Spain, Germany, Portugal, the Netherlands, Belgium, Denmark, Sweden and elsewhere.
