Innovacom was created by France Telecom as a vehicle for discovering breakthrough technologies in the telecom landscape. We were given autonomy in our decision-making, and challenged with a mission to fund startups that will improve the ability of carriers to deliver services.

We take great care to connect our portfolio companies with France Telecom and its subsidiaries—companies such as Orange, GlobeCast, Wanadoo, StarMedia, and Orange Business Services—to help fulfill this objective. For many companies, the opportunity to connect with over 3,000 researchers and staff in France Telecom’s R&D department in order to refine a product concept is key to the success of their businesses. For companies with products closer to production, we bring the ability to connect with France Telecom’s six major business units, the same groups that deploy and support thousands of products in over 40 countries.
